A few weeks back, I was invited to ride the muddy rivers of the Suwannee River with two of my favorite people, Nichole and Matt. I’ve shot with Nichole a few times, but when I found out she was having a baby, I was stoked!
She called me up and ask me to shoot her maternity photos, but she had a particular place in mind
Matt and Nichole love to go to the Suwannee River and go fishing on their days off. Nichole said she loves riding up and down the river with Matt, and occasionally taking a dip in the shallow parts.
I had a great time, it was such a beautiful place, and I loved it!
I just wanted to start off by saying, Yes, I do have the coolest clients ever! It’s such a great feeling when you have the trust of a client and they fully trust you Jess was down with whatever, and when I mentioned getting on a train, she was all about it! This is one amazing mommy, and I’m not sure if Vogue has a maternity section, but if they did, I’m sure they would be scooping her up!

This week I want to share with you one of my favorite things in the world! If you know me well, you know I am a huge fan of YouTube. Not just the funny videos where people get hurt, even though I do like those, but also the partner’s on YouTube. Over the next few weeks, I’ll feature plenty more of my favorites, but to kick it off, I wanted to start with my all time favorite, Wheezy Waiter!!!
I knew from the first vid I seen of his, I was going to be a huge fan. His name came from the fact that he had asthma, and also had taken a job as a waiter to make it through college and to record with his band, Driftless Pony Club. I believe I connected so much because I grew up with Asthma, and also had been working a waiter, but I connected more with his hilarious imagination, alligator pits, whale tanks, and clones.
Most of his videos feature his different signature clones, eagle punching, beardloving, and loving when the coffee is done! So let me quit talking, and show you his videos. I picked this one because alot of his videos interact with each other, and often turn into funny adventures….

I few weeks back I met up with two of the coolest kids I ever met! Caroline and Shane were such an awesome couple! They were celebrating their 1 year anniversary at the same place they were married at in Jekyll Island and thought it would be super sweet if they did their maternity session in the same place since it meant alot to them…
I was really exited myself since I had never had a chance to shoot at driftwood beach before, because it is such a beautiful place.
Just to let you know, I went a little over board on this post… these are absolutely adorable, and it was hard to narrow down, so you know me, I just said forget it… I’m putting them all up

Sometimes when you get busy, and you have things requiring your time, and work that needs to be done by a deadline, and family that needs help, and … well you get the point… Sometimes people ask me, “What is it about photography that you love sooo much?” It’s tough to explain it to someone that has never experienced the feeling of taking that shot of someone, and having them absolutely love it. It’s one of the greatest feelings ever! The only thing is, when you try to tell someone that, when you try to express how much it moves you to have the gift, the talent to do that for someone, they just look at you like your retarded… Haha..
One of my friends, AnnaK, posted this video yesterday on Facebook, and when I got done watching it, I was like,” WOW!!!” Its exactly the same feeling, the emotion, the experience, everything! This video totally sums up that feeling of why I do what I do. It’s not always that super cool shot that I used crazy off camera lighting on, or even having people tell you how much they love your work. It’s this feeling… its amazing, and hopefully after watching this you’ll be able to completely understand it…

New on Monday’s will be something I call, ‘Misc. Mondays’.
Basically, I just want to share with you things that I like or don’t like, or that make me laugh, or inspire me, or just whatever! I just want to share stuff, haha. One of my favorite things this week has been an iPhone app called ‘Instagram‘.
If you on Instagram, you know how addicting it can be! It’s alot like Twitter, but instead of typing up 140 Characters, you snap a photo, add a little filter to it, and upload it. You can follow your friends, and they can follow you, make comments, and like your photos, etc.

Today I wanted to share with you a recent engagement session that shot of some very cool friends of mine, Chris and Lori Horne. I met Chris back in college when we both had Mr. Young’s Phsycology class together. We became friends then, but it was a year or so later, I found out one of my best friends was also best friends with him too, and that’s when we became close friends.
Not to long ago, Chris got engaged to the love of his life, and I took two of my good friends, John and Greg, and we went out and shot some awesome images of this super awesome couple.
Now a few weeks later, I find out there’s a Chris Jr. on the way! Congrats Chris and Lori! You two are the awesome, and I can’t wait to meet your baby boy!
It’s been 7 months or so since I last photographed Cohen, and I never thought in just a few months that his cuteness could multiply 100 times!!! This baby is the sweetest/cutest/best baby ever!!!
Saturday I went down to J-ville, and rocked out with Kathryn Brown and we had a blast shooting such a gorgeous bride! That night I met up with my friends Scarlett and Stephen Knuth. We met up at Bento’s and had some awesome sushi, and afterwards built a fire to make smores with. Stephen makes the best smores ever!
